The Who

ITO KNITTO is over a decade of craft and care, born from a lifelong passion for knitwear. I started knitting as a very young child. My first encounter with a knitting machine was my mother’s - a “no-touch” forbidden treasure for me at the time. Later, my husband gifted me my first machine, which I used in Japan to build a small business - the foundation of what would become ITO KNITTO.

My travels between Tokyo, Japan, and Boston, USA, combined with years of experience and partnerships, have shaped the inspiration and collaborations behind every piece.

I choose to develop our pieces so they are are subtle, stylish, and almost timeless. They are chosen by a well-dressed crowd who appreciate effortless elegance, thoughtful design, and natural fibers crafted with care.
